HPE : Discover event and self-guided tour mobile apps

Overview
HPE Discover is the Hewlett Packard Enterprise showcase technology convention for enterprise business and government customers. For the largest first HPE’s semi-annual tech event after the split from HP, there were 2 mobile apps created; one was an event app to enhance the attendee event experience and the other was a tour app for new digital self-guided tour to replace the standard zone tour.
User interface design was created along with UX initiated by the agency to align the new HPE brand standard and focused on the best usability.

The Challenge
The goal was to get tech attendees to be engaged and to have a better experience for the Discover event. It also needed to ensure a seamless experience for the 2 apps.
The challenge was personalizing the interactive event app and creating an easy and simple self-tour experience for the tour app. While endorsing the new HPE brand and design system for the 2 apps, needed to establish a logical and systematic interface.
Event app
This app to use prior to the conference held. Important event information such as schedules, locations and details are provided.
Visual color coded system is created using the 4 HPE dark color pallet separated from the main content area including the top and bottom tabs and titles. The systematic typography was added to emphasizes the priority information.
Discovery 2015 title is used as an identification for this event. The corporate logo was hidden for emphasis.
Tour app
More complicated, the Tour app delivered the map of trade show floor and expo hall and each self-guided tours in sections. The objectives for this app was to provide time saving experience in the event and navigate the trade show floor easily and precisely.
The challenge was to organize over 700 personalized schedule and get the most out of attendee's experience at Discover. Schedule needs to be organised /added/removed daily.
Our approach was to use the filters to refine attendee's search criteria and reach to see more event/session details. As User interface, we identified each event by color coded section along with HPE brand guideline.
